Hi guys,

Does anyone know if it's possible to get a 2/3-way plug (like this), but! with the sockets inverted (i.e., so the single prong goes away from the wall)?

I have a couple of devices (my modem and my router) where the power cable comes out "up" instead of "down", so you can't plug them into a normal one of these. I could tidy up that corner of the room a little if I could use an "upside down" 2/3-way plug instead of the 4-way gang I have coiled up there now.

Thanks,
Simon

I think stulid's link will be your best bet. Most plugs have bottom wires so I dont think anyone would make one that is the reverse of the norm.

Unfortunately, I couldn't use that, as my Belkin HomePlug hangs down low in the adjacent socket (and it would be too low if plugged into this device). However, I have just seen the "opposite" of that, where the four plugs sit above the main socket -- and that just might work. :)

Thanks for the advice! :)

They used to do boxes that mount over the existing sockets and give you a 4 gang. Its fixed to the wall like a normal socket too.

If you're handy witha screwdriver just get a new end where the wire would come out the bottom as normal and replace it on the product keeping the same fuse etc so it would work the same... They can be had for pretty much pennies.
