Anyone know of any micro atx or atx midi towers that are upside down? By that i mean cpu at the bottom and pci slots at the top. Come to think of it any case like this will do for now. Thanks.

I know some dell cases are like that but I think they're not ATX. I'm sure I've seen some before, I'll try and remember what they were.

Hi there,

Not quite what you are asking, but the Silverstone Raven cases (like the midi-size Raven 3) have the configuration so the motherboard is orientated 90 degrees from the usual setup - so the PCIE slots and motherboard outputs face towards the top of the case - which is a rather clever configuration IMHO since hot air rises from the powerful components (CPU heatsink, GPUs) and this flow isn't impeded by any other components - just gently encouraged with quiet fans.

These cases take ATX and mini-ATX motherboards, and from personal experience building my sisters PC in a Raven 2E these cases are REALLY nice. They are well made, look cool, pretty simple to build in, are cooled very effectively (due to the design which works with the rising hot air) and run very quietly (due to the use of large, slow-running fans).

Silverstone TJ-06 is one

Search for "reverse atx" case and you should fine more.

Just done a search, seems like BTX is the form factor these types are known as.

Thank you Andi, i have seen this case but it is not quite what my mate was after. He's after a 180 degree rotation rather than the 90. Only reason he asked me was he wanted to see his graphics card being water cooled with his plexi blocks - something he cant do with normal atx lol.

Lian-Li PC-A05 or A06.

My A06, modded to take a XSPC-240 radiator.

My Silverstone Temjin TJ08 is upside down with a motherboard tray matx :D

I like it as an orientation as the cpu runs very cool
