I see that silverstone temjin tJ06 case has the motherboard the other way round so the graphics fan facing up.

Any one know any other good air flow cases that do this?

cheers

Yeah, that style of case would suit my current desk positioning, as I've got my case on the left of my desk, well I actually have two - will get some shots and update the cases thread. It does mean if I want to work on the PC7 or B20A I have to move the cases as they are conventional layout.

yeah so do I have my cases on the left against my wall, but only because the side of the case is off too help my rubbish airflow, so it helps to hide all the insides.

Lian li v series, gorgeous cases...

I had the v1000B, and the only reason i got rid of it is because i got it's bigger brother, the v2000B :D

I find that cases set up like this have bad 'air flow' or cooling.

most of the time ( like in lian li V series V1000, V1100 [poss the worst cases for cooling ever?]) the hot air from the graphics floods the top of the case, where it would normaly be shifted by the rear fan... because the rear fan is now at the bottom, your graphics cards roast alive.

okay... not such a big deal unless you are running SLI etc...

I find upside down cases harder to work with, harder to route cables and most suffer from bad cooling.

please note, that most people seem to think that upside down cases are 'BTX' - they are not.

:)

i suppose there just a differant style and people like something diffrant, i must admit that i like the upside down look.

RB actually has a very good point there about the heat accumulating at the top of the case, although there are perforations on the front and back which does aid with this a bit. I had my rad mounted inthe top of my v1000, and had the fans on it as exhausts, thus i didn't get the heat buildup.

PS: awesome sig Rick :D

Also the plus and plus2 versions also come with a cooler to shove air out from the top half of the case via the rear ventilation or a side vent on the plus2.

I personally run my Stacker830 that way as well but have a 120mm fan in the roof and the PSU is at the top as well to draw the heat from above the graphics card.

Whereas I disagree completely, my 8800gt is currently sitting at 36c playing WoW :p

HDs and PSU are in separate compartments, PSU doesn't have to deal with the excess heat from the CPU/Graphics etc.
