So in the new house we have a pair of Upvc french doors /windows that open onto a raised deck.

I'm looking for a method of locking/securing them open. They cannot open far enough to latch on to the wall and due to the drop onto the decking I haven't found anyway of propping them open.

Does anyone know of a possible solution? I was hoping to maybe get something to sit on the runners at the top of the doors to stop them blowing shut.

Couldn't you put a bolt on each door that would drop down into a slot on the decking?

You can get upvc french door stays/restrictors limits door opening to a preset position or to maximum of 90 degrees to stop it blowing close.

Haven't used them myself, apparently easy to fit, they fit in the runners,so you have to Google for more info, could also look on the bay for them.

The French doors we fit have these on as standard from the factory. They work well, but if it's a very windy day then keep the doors shut as these will snap off very easily.
