Had Everest quote a few years back for a door. Agreed a Saturday install and then they said they wouldn’t. Wouldn’t give me my deposit back. Right bunch of shysters.
I spoke with the area manager, he said it shouldn’t have been agreed. He got ****** with me when I said you can the install during the week, but I’ll charge you a day rate for not being at work.
last quote I had from another company, gave a clear instruction. Give me your price straight up, no this week only. He agreed. Then a price time. “We’ll good news for you today I’ve spoken to my manager.
He was shown the door in an instant, got funny about it. Give me a quote simple.

it’s this type of selling that ****** me off. I asked one company if they enjoyed ripping off the venerable as we used to have an elderly relative who would have signed at £4500.
if you muck around with wild discounts after giving the hour long pitch etc. you’ll be asked to leave.
