Urgent - ADSL 2+ router with good wifi signal and cheap.. netgear

Need an urgent reccomendation for a router that has good range compared to the latest talk talk one.

Our internet has been fried by the local storms and i must eliminate everything inside the premises otherwise i will be charged 50£

the router didnt have much range anyway with our thick walls/

was looking at netgear WNR2000

Just look for something that is N band 150 or 300mbps (300 has dual aerials),

Avoid units which are branded by the service provider and have no external aerial.
Avoid cheap eastern units UNLESS they have been positively reviewed by a website or IT magazine.

Ok, figure i could do with dual band for stopping the slow down when only g devices are connected, the netgear i was after doesnt seem to offer this despite claiming dual band
