Hi all
i brought a Q940. fitted it and the system wouldnt boot,
re fitted by E660 and all is fine.
took a look at the manafacturer page
http://uk.giga-byte.com/Support/Motherboard/CPUSupport_Model.aspx?ProductID=2455
according to this cpu support page, the cpu is down as "no formal support"
does this mean it wont work at all, or does it mean by flashing to the latest driver it may work?
the key seems to say it would say if the cpu wasnt supported, but this no formal support message is really confusing me.
obviously i would rather flash the bios and use this mobo than have to fork out for another mobo to use my new cpu but i dont want to break anything messing?
any advise greatly appreciated
thanks
Loki
