Today, downloading songs and surfing the internet something got onto my computer and i dont know what it could be,
the first thing i noticed was half my shortcuts had been deleted and i could not access windows task manager when i did press ctrl alt delete a message came up saying "computer admin has blocked you from using this" this cannot be possible as i am a computer admin myself,
i have tried scanning my computer but either the hacker/virus is able to pause it or the computer is gradully getting slower and slower eventully is unable to load up anything,
i have attepted going on task manager on other accounts and that has worked CPU Usage is 100% me and my mate have looked at the processes and there doesnt seem to be anything out of the ordinary on there,
also 3 programmes have automatically been installed onto my computer and hidden from me so i cannot un-install them
I am not very experienced in computers so i have asked for your help,
can you please reply to this thread asap so i can get whatever this is off my computer,
PS i have disabled an internet connection to my computer and it is still happening, i also have tryed fully restarting everything.
Thankyou

spybot isn't an av, run nod32 on it

might need dial-a-fix to sort out the problems too

disable system restore too, or the crap will be in there too

If you really want to be sure you might want to consider running an AntiVirus program integrated into a Boot CD like BartPE where you can integrate the latest updated version of AntiVir.

Some usefull information.

The above is probably the best advice so far imo. using an online service can have packets modified, temp files altered, redircting you to a dodgy copy of the AV site etc. etc. installing antivirus can have install files corrupted, updates blocked etc. etc. but running AV from a CD outside of the OS environment allows an uncorruptable state for the AV to run

Spybot found five different small viruses and has hopefully now resolved the problem,
thankyou very much for your help
much appreciated
you can now delete this thread

You cannot rely on Spybot to clear a bad infection... that's just silly. First to an online scan with a good scanner like Kaspersky http://www.kaspersky.com/virusscanner

Are you even running a resident Anti-Virus program? If not make sure you install one and update it ASAP, Avast! is a good one http://www.avast.com/eng/avast_4_home.html
