Hey Guys,

I upgraded my pc a few months ago via a specialist who installed the parts I purchased. So all the parts are relatively still quite new.

Last night the pc was working fine. However today when I came home and turned it on the fans went into full blast and then to a black screen with red writing centered on the screen saying "CPU Fan Error, please check!".

After this is very slowly loaded into windows and then turned itself off after a little while.

Now when I turn it on, it again has the fans go into full blast and then display the black screen with the error message and then suddenly turns off right after this.

It doesn't even display the bios screen. I tried to press the Del key to go into it but that didn't seem to work I also tried F2.

Please can someone urgently help me to solve this problem, I've been working in unity on my vr game a lot recently and have a lot of work to still do, now this issue comes right at the wrong time

Here's my specs:

- Intel Core i7-6700K 4.0GHz Quad-Core Processor

- MSI Z170A Gaming M7 Intel Socket LGA1151 Skylake Motherboard

- G.Skill Ripjaws V Series 32GB (4 x 8GB) DDR4-3200 Memory

- Corsair H100i v2 70.7 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler

- Gigabyte G1 gtx1080

- Corsair Air Series SP120 High Performance Edition (2-Pack) 62.7 CFM 120mm Fans

- EVGA 750W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply

- Samsung 950 PRO NVMe M.2 512 GB Solid State Drive

- Inateck Superspeed 7 Ports PCI-E to USB 3.0 Expansion Card

Thanks!

Motherboards want a fan attached to the cpu_fan header pin on the motherboard - first step is verifying this connection is attached to the heatsink's fan, and is working.
