Urgent!! Do i disconect the battery?

Depends if the lighter is live with the ignition off or not, to be safe i would say yes, you can do it on a live wire just don't touch the ground thats all :p
 
Just take the fuse for the Cigarrette lighter from the fuse panel. The same fuse usually does the interior light.

I wouldnt bother just dont let the bare wire short out or remove the cigar lighter fuse. Either are easier than disconnecting the battery.
