URGENT: Fast advice needed

Not that this happens a lot, but my boss has just asked me for some lens advice. Great i thought, Canon or Nikon, iI can do that. No, he has a Sony A57

He does a lot of walking and wildlife stuff, and wants a lens where he doesnt get too close to the subject. I was thinking along the 70-200 lines, but I have no idea for Sony lenses.

I also dont know price, but a range of solutions would be best.

PLEASE can you post what you think. I know an F2.8 with IS (OS or VR) would be best, but in case his budget wont stretch that far, what else?

Thanks all - apparently his budget is lower than mine for lenses and gear (bit of a surprise), he is looking at the 55-200 Sony one - Sub £200.
