I know you're tearing up the seti charts currently but I thought it'd be frightfully rude to pass without parping

Since I should be having parts for a new quad rig on their way soon you may not catch me if/when you do come folding again - of course you could come back now and fend me off for longer ;) ;) :D

edit: Got a 1760 pointer due to finish tomorrow evening so that should do the honours

Congratulations rich, even if I got back to folding now you would still get me, I bet your quad will do more than 2.7Ghz:( trust me to get a slow one!

Is that a G0 Q6600. If so, I've got one the same - won't do a squeak over 2.7GHz :(

Stomp the slacker Rich :D

Aye, it's a G0, even with silly volts it falls over above 2.7 :( Not like the SLACR's that can hit 3.5 on standard volts :grr:

tbh I don't think there are many of them that can do 3.5 on standard volts.

What motherboards are you guys using are you sure its not a combination of other parts that are holding you back? I know I have a Q6600 in a P31 that won't do over 3.0Ghz but in a P35 or better will do 3.8Ghz

Oh yeah and here's one from me too:

The G0's are the SLACR's (aren't they?). The B3's are the earlier version.

That's what I was thinking. My B3 does 3.0GHz on stock volts. The G0 will do 2.7GHz on stock but won't do anything more, no matter how many volts I chuck at it - won't even post :(

weird - what motherboards are you using?

I need 1.45v to do 3.15ghz with my G0 but it cause my motherboard droops terrible under load.

1.45v in the bios, 1.376v in windows and under full load droops to 1.328!!! (which is basically stock voltage)

My bad :o
Mine is a B3, in an Asus P5B deluxe 1.39V in bios, 1.368v in windows whilst crunching.
9x 300fsb with 1:1 ram, It will crash after a few hours at 301 or more but runs for weeks at 300
