Hi all, some of you may know... my car was written off a few weeks ago. Well i have been driving round in a 320D BM that i LOVE! however, i am off to cornwall tonight (800 mile round trip) and it just has not got any room in it SO, i have two options, I can swap this car for a Volvo XC70 2.4D that my guess is it will drink some juice OR i can go in A) VW Caddy 1.6TDI OR B) Peugeot Partner 1.6HDI.

So what would your weapon of choice be? all will be brand new, the Vans i have booked myself with Europcar and the XC70 will be free on my insurance, as i have already booked the van hire if i choose to go on the Volvo ill have to pay a cancellation fee for the van i am sure.

I SHOULD be able to claim it back from the third part in expenses either way.

HELP and be QUICK!

EDIT: i will be fishing for a week and will have an awful lot of gear with me.

Volvo, hands down. It will cost a tad more but nothing like enough to offset the fact it's a brand new comfortable Volvo.

Though really the 320d isnt THAT small surely?!

The seats in the BM dont fold down and i just dont have the room to get my gear in :
Picture to follow.
I will have the best part of £15k worth of gear on show in the volvo thats another worry, in the van it will be more concealed?

OHHHH FOR **** SAKE!
Now the Volvo is not availble and the only other car they have is a Jeep Grand Cherokee, 3ltr, on paper 27mpg.

So now its a case of Caddy Van or Jeep Cherokee

Anything? It's only 800miles.

Being doing that regularly in my 182. I'd go with the Van if you have loads to put in, as well there just easier.
