URGENT HELP! CPU stuck to HSF

Tried to pull the hsf off the cpu and i ended up with this:

any advice on how to seperate the two?

thanks for the fast reply, got the hair dryer on it now, how long does it take averagely?

also after i have taken it off and wiped off all the old thermal stuff, how much as5 will i need to apply on a amd x2 4400+ cpu?

thanks for all the advice guys, was moving cpu from one mobo to another, added some as5 on it now, running a lot cooler.
