Urgent help needed - Calling all Guru's! (new PC won't post)

OK got my new bits this morning fro OcUK - decided to put them together with bits from my shuttle.

PC7 PLUS
DFI UT SLi-D
4000+
1GB ballistix
Enermax 500w Liberty
AC Pro
Clean 200GB Spinpoint SATA2


Put it all together - the mobo lights up I pres the power on button and get literally 1 seconds worth of power, pretty much like a tiny burst, simply will not boot.

Any ideas?

To start with, try hot wireing the PSU (unwind a paper clip and touch a green and black wire together.)

Have you connected up the case speaker?

Is there something shorting out any components?

After all 3 stripe the PC to bare components and start adding in turn.

No, could this damage the PSU ?

Not Sure.

I'm already using bare min setup

Just tried with different combos and no components plugged in and still exactly the same happens

Just triedy bros PSU and the rig Booted. Looks like the NEW PSU will be getting RMA'd :/
