Urgent help needed - mains timer

I need something that can switch power off and on at a set interval, such as 1 second on 1 second off, or something that can do it at random times below say 2 seconds.

Can't be bothered building anything, so does anyone know of something off the shelf I can buy? I need this within the next couple of hours.

On the well-under-2-seconds mark, you've got a dimmer switch (which are usually controlled by triacs.

1/50th of the second might be a bit short though.

I'd've thought most timers were by the minute at the very shortest.

It's to have some lights going on and off. We did have a box to do it that we made up a few weeks ago but some ***** has half inched it. It's needed for tomorrow hence I just want to buy something.

digital timer from a horticultural shop might be up to the job, but I think they only go down to minutes, not seconds

Yeah that's the problem. I might just buy some Christmas lights TBH.
