URGENT help needed please

A fried of mine runs an e-commerce store and his SSL certificate expired at midnight last night. His host assured him they would sort it but havent!

Ive looked on godaddy at their ssl certificates but not really sure what to go for?

Can anyone offer any advice? Do you just purchase the single domain SSL and upload it to the root directory? IS there anything else I need to do?

There's a lot more to it than uploading it to a root directory. Call/e-mail/harass the host and get them to do it.

The host could be waiting for the SSL certificate. But as said above, get on the phone and start causing some trouble.

Cheers, still no word from his host but sadly its costing him business so a change in host is in order I feel!

Did he purchase the SSL before from an SSL provider or with the hosting? If he sourced it himself the onus is on him to renew/keep it. It shouldn't be difficult to renew the SSL though...

It was purchased through his host, which for the record is a UK based host. He spoke to them 3 times the past week to ensure this wouldnt happen and they assured him it was in hand and ready to go.
