Hi I need advice/ info/ help urgently.

Problems;
My laptop stared downwards spiraling over past two days. Anti virus has become slow/ non responsive. Access to internet has been blocked. Spam emails in email accounts.

And suspicion automated phone calls to my mobile about payment protection insurance, etc.

I cannot use Norton to resolve the issue and cannot download software from the internet.

Virus scan paused/ slowed down over these files;
Backdoor.Rustock.B
Backdoor.Rustock.A
Infostealer.Snifula.B
There are many other files also

The computer is a Hp Envy i5 running windows 8.

I have no experience with editing system files or removing viruses/ trojans.

I need urgent advice or help on what to do/ how to fix the problem?

Please help!

Download Eset NOD32 trial and Malwarebytes on another PC and burn to CD, so you can install them from that. Uninstall Norton. Install and update those two and scan in normal mode and safe mode (F8 on PC booting). Also worth running CCleaner first to remove all temp files and use the start up manager part of it to remove dodgy looking programs from starting up.

Oh and delete system restore backups.

Thanks. Why should I delete system restore backups?
Do you mean the harddrive system restore backup that comes with the pc?...

Windows will keep system restore points after updates and the like. Its best to delete them in this instance because the virus may also be stored within one of these restore points.

just run combofix I swear it works everytime I've needed to fix a virus for someone else and can't be bothered to do it manually
