Just borught a new graphics card and cpu. An X1950 pro and an X2 3800 to be exact. They both installed fine, plug and play, all wonderful. Was playing around earlier and noticed the cpu wasnt actually showing up as a dual core, but just as single. confirmed this with some proigs which show only 1 core was working. So I updated the motherboards bios. This fixed the problem, the cores now both work, cept since then my graphics card doesnt.
It started basically as Error Code 43 showing up on the device manager icon. Then with much google trawling I found out theres a problem between vista dual cores and graphics. With further trawling I found out the latest ati drivers I installed have problems with this graphics card. So I downloaded the last recommended ones, the 7.7 I think, and downgraded the error from 43 to now a simple "This device cannot start. (Code 10)" EWhich is also unfixable. Everything was fine on vista before all this
Anyone any ideas?
