I assure you this isn't a scam but an old friend just had a quadruple bypass and I'm just visiting him now. He's accidentally locked his iPhone shortly after surgery and it's requesting it be connected to a computer with iTunes. However a quick Google suggests you need to connect to a previously synced computer which we can't (he's never done so)?
I'm not too savvy with iOS and as it's his only way to connect with his family, I'm desperate to get it fixed ASAP. I can take it home and connect it to a PC with iTunes but not one previously synced before. Help .
Edit - it seems that whatever solution I choose it will wipe the phone. Would his contacts etc be automatically be backed up on the cloud - he's not the type of user to muck about with these settings. And would imagine he wants anything backed up restored.
Edit - I am going to reset it and I think I am right in thinking that he can simply sign into his Apple account at a later stage.
