Urgent Help needed!

hey there, ive just complete my first build and it installed windows without a hickup. But when i download a file like Teamspeak and MSN messenger it tells me the files are corrupt and they will just cancel the download. My specs are as followed.

AMD athlon 3500
ASUS A8n SLI SE
512 PC3200 (out of my dell)
MSI 7900GTX

Virus Scan.
Spyware Scan.
Try another browser.
Run memtest on your memory.

memtest? how do i do that?

u download it burn the iso onto a cd and then boot from the cd

EDIT: if you have a floppy drive you can use that as well. Run it for a while e.g. 5 hours and then see if you get any errors

but rather burn the cd from the iso..

Try downloading another file, we had this on a server at work, the file would complete but it was corrupted at the end. Problem was a faulty NIC

ive managed to install msn, but ventrilo and Teamspeak are still "corrupted"

EDIT:: could the problem be that i dont have SP2 installed?

no

99/100 when file downloads are corrupt its due to problems with the memory... run through memtest atleast 3 complete passes (300%)... if you get errors then either you have faulty RAM or you need to back down on the overclock.
