URGENT Help Needed

PECS ASUS P5N-E SLI MBOARD (SOCKET 775 CHIPSET NVIDAI 650I) - INTEL CORE2DUO E6600, SMASUNG 250 GB INTERNAL SATA HARDDRIVE, AKASA CASE, HYPER PSU, COOLERMASTER HYPER CPU COOLER. (now just 1 gig of kingston ram ddr2 533)

Hi I rec got a new motherboard,chassis,cpu and psu from ..... I wanted to change the motherboard so took it back and they refitted me one, however they said it wouldnt boot with 2 512 stick of my memory. At this point they also fitted my coolermaster cpu cooler.

They also said they did something to my SATA internal harddrive to make it go faster or something(using dual cables).

MY PROBLEMS ARE:

1) it keeps crashing evry so often, or programs close down, or has blue screen. The last one was firefox the error report is at the END of this thread.


2) I need to no if the problem is my memory or there installation(my memory isnt that great anyway) and ill be replacing it on wednesday with corsair but need to know if its the mem. thats problem or there installation.

3). on bottom of windows on task bar there is a safely remove hardware icone( when i click on it, its my HARDDRIVE!!!, its not removable !!! lo)- Is this normal PLEASE HELP IM DESPERATE

If Its def my mem thats fine but how do I find out what problem is???

Please edit out the competitor name in the first post! It is the rules for posting in this forum. And what is going on in the second post? :)

As a peice of general advice - if a system builder gives you a PC that fails to function you take it up with them directly.

The SATA hard drive showing up as a removable device is not dangerous or unknown, don't worry. They are designed to be hot swappable - however you need not concern yourself with that.
