I posted here a few weeks ago regarding memory problems. Specifically, my computer has been crashing to blue screens too often, due to "IRQ_LESS_OR_EQUAL", or "PAGEFAULT_IN_NONPAGED AREA" - correct me if I have mis-spelt those as I can't remember what they said specifically but I think they are close enough.

I bought 1GB of new Crucial PC3200 memory but the problem still occurred, although much less frequently. I sent the RAM back and am back on my old PC2700 (1GB). It's been crashing ever since and I am completely stuck as to how I can fix it.

A little bit of info on my rig - AMD Athlon XP 3200, 1GB PC2700 Crucial DDR, 120GB Western Digital, Connect 3D X850 Pro, Enermax 375W PSU, Creative Soundblaster Audigy 2 ZS. I have plenty of HDD space, my CPU is at a nominal temperature and have recently formatted and re-installed Windows but with no luck in removing the fault. I can only presume it is a hardware fault but I don't think it's the RAM. I have a sneaky feeling it is related to my motherboard or graphics card.

Can anyone shed some light on this rather annoying predicament of mine?!

Any help would be greatly appreciated :)

Try to reduce the possible suspects.

Is your PSU decent? - is there another one you could try (from a friend etc)

Have you tried moving the memory to a different slot and/or upping the voltage slightly? Have you run memtest to check for errors?

Does your motherboard have built in video? If so remove the graphics card and use that instead and see if the error still occurs.

Have you tried flashing the BIOS to the latest version?
