My computer needed a format, so i decided to format and reinstall winblows xp this afternoon. Got to the part where you need to select language settings and what not... then the window decided to 'Not Respond' - i left it for a while to see if it could find its legs again but no luck. So i had to reboot... everytime it goes "boot from cd/dvd" it then dosn't go.. press any key to boot from CD - just tried to pick up from where it left off. But this isn't working as it says it can't find the 'asms' file on the CD.

So i need to just do a fresh format - but its not letting me!

Any ideas/help?

Cheers

Errrr that sounds very odd :|

What if... i pplug the windows HDD into this machine, just so it picks it up - and format it that way when in windows?

Although, i hate the sound of this idea
