i didnt know where to put this but i need urgent help!
my PC doesnt boot for some reason and i don't know what it is.
when i switch it on, a messege pops up saying insert a device too boot
when i go into the BIOS it says the 1st SATA drive isnt detected and that normally has my hard drive there
what do i need i don't have a clue whats happening
please please help!!!

Is the hard disc running, can you hear it.
Is there another pc you can swop the hd with.
Try doing a CMOS reset just in case the BIOS has thrown a wobler.

Try booting into the BIOS and load optimised defaults, save and reboot.
If that fails try checking all connections to the hard drive or even change cables or SATA port on the motherboard.
Does the hd spin.

Edit: Good news :)
Ignor the above :)
