Urgent help please!

Hi there,

I have a rig with the following spec:

Shuttle SD37P2
Core 2 Duo 6600
Sapphire x1950Pro 512Mb
2Gb PC5300 Patriot Signature Line RAM

It's not overclocked, and I have not touched the hardware for the past year (since new).

I just now shut it down after installing 4 updates (Vista 32 bit) which had come about since I went on holiday and went to turn it back on again and it won't go past the POST screen. Pressing Delete to enter the settings does nothing, reset BIOS several times, nothing.

No loose RAM etc, not done ANYTHING.

I need to use this for work - it's all backed up but my laptop is too slow to video edit so I need a working machine! Bah.

Any ideas would be much appreciated.

Try taking out a stick of RAM and see if it posts, then try disconnecting the hard drive to see if that resolves things.

So it was fine until the update?

I had this type of problem, my room is locked, i go on holiday (2 Weeks) i come back, to find that my Master SLI 8500GT card is dead.
