I have a samsung TV which has a VGA on the back of it, i have plugged the 8800 GTS into it and it shows the BIOS screen, then the windows XP loading screen then just goes blank.

Is this something to do with the res set on the GFX if it is what do i need to set it too?

Are you trying to run 2 displays at the same time? if so after windows loads you will need to go into the nvidia control panel and setup dual view, clone mode or whatever multi display mode you want.
