My bro-in-laws PC is here at the moment as its not working.

Over the last few days he has had a green tint appearing over his screen and he would have to restart. Then he went to turn his PC on this morning and it loaded first thing but kept crashing out.

He rebooted it, went downstairs, came back and it had an orange screen so he rebooted again and it wouldnt come on at all.

Ive replaced the gfx, checked all the leads, taken the memory out and put it back in. Done the same with the CPU.

Ive connected it the the g/f monitor and turned his PC on, the fan kicks in and the computer powers up. I turn the monitor on, the light goes green for 2 seconds then goes off again. When i power it up i am not hearing any beeps at all.

Im not sure where to go from here.

I know you said you checked all the leads, I presume by this you mean check that they're connected properly? It could just be a dodgey cable.

I am going to try replacing some of the cables now in case it is a dodgy cable however after tinkering in side it now powers the monitor up.

Sometimes it is pausing as soon as it finds the gfx card, other times it loads the XP splash screen just to reset. I do not think that it is the HDD but maybe the PSU or the Mobo.
