Ok, ive just received my new GPU and PSU,

Asus GTX 275

and ModXtream ocz 700w modular psu

Never really done much hardware to this degree and i *think* i have managed to install the PSU correctly (its all running now).

the psu has a main power cable, a spare connecter, and a little 4 pin connecter.

connected the big cable into the cpu, the little 4 pin thing into the motherboard, and the spare cable isnt going anywhere.

there is 6 seperate connections on the psu, 4 black ones and 2 red ones. i have plugged the cd drives with the 4 pin cables and the fans etc, and the sata hdd into another black port.

is this all okay? i have read the manual and it doesnt really have a great installion guide.

now its the graphics card which is the problem. the card itself comes with a 6 pin which goes into 2 4 pin connecters. the psu only comes with one pci express 6 pin cable which i have plugged into one of the 6 pin slots in the GPU going directly to a red slot on the psu.

the graphics card is not working...

can someone help me please?

You need to connect the 6 pin plug from your PSU into the card and the 6pin adaptor to it as well, the adaptor should be plugged into 2x 4 pin molexes.

EDIT : Just checked and you dont need the adaptor. Your PSU has on 6 pin PCIE and 1 6+2 pin PCI-E connectors. On the 8 pin one 2 of the pins detatch to allow you to use the 2 dedicated power leads.
