Urgent help win xp themes problem

Ok I stupidly applied a theme that is all black in that the screen is black so you cannot see any sub menus or any progam lists I cant even see system restore to see if I can reverse this. obv if I try to enter safe mode the same theme loads up is there anyway by means of a shortcut I can get to system restore to undo this stupid thing I have done! I can obv get access to the internet providing the pages have no black in there content.

I hope someone can dig me out of the poops :confused:

im sure there is a quicker way to goto system restore but i dont know it

or maybe right click select properties....it will take u to theme menu and just use cursor keys and select 1 at random...not tried it mind

Thanks for the reply however I am completly foobard here I cannot action the above as when I do I cannot see any menu there is no drop down box I can see everything is blacked out is there a series of hotkeys I can use to get to system recovery I am using windows 7 os to get on to the net and type here but all my stuff is on my other os XP and I cant get to a b thing even when I try to open OE all I get are icons and no text so cant see any messages ! what a b idiot I am so if anyone has any bright ideas nows the time to share them otherwise I am completly scr**d Cant even go to ASR as I dont have a backup ! HELP

or u can do

the up down left right....is the cursor key you press

I think this is the easier way..
Windows key (between alt and ctrl) + R then type "RSTRUI.exe" without the ""

you're now in the system restore..
What you do from then on.. I do not know, as I have Vista, and I'm not completely sure if it has same system restore interface as Windows XP.

Edit: Remember that you have to hold down windows key and then press R, then release both once its done.

Press f8 after the BIOS post before windows starts loading & select restore system rather than safe mode.
