Just had my X1950 pro 512Mb that was from the "this week only" delivered, but it didnt come with a 6pin PCI-E addaptor, does it need one, and would not having one stop the computer from booting ??
 
Yes it needs one :(. I take it that's you left without your new card for tonight then?.

It would most likely to cause non booting also.
 
That sucks man. Whole new system and this stops you :(. If only you lived in Edinburgh as I have 3 or 4 spare.

At least it's only 1 days wait ;). 2moro night you will be shooting some aliens head off in UT3 demo or feeling the new army experience of the CoD4 demo as well as any games you have ready in waiting.
 
Nope tomorrow night, i have a management meeting and meal with work, so friday i will have it working. And im out all day so have to find somewhere to find a connector, whilst on my travels.

Have to wait till Friday now, that just sucks big time :( Not A Happy Bunny :(
 
Just make sure you knacker yourself out 2moro then. Home = sleep then Friday arrives!!!!. Also see what shops are in the area of your meeting and try and source a 6pin adapter out tonight.

If you can't find one then my email details are in my trust. I'll send one to you for nothing.

Nice one and no problem.

Hmmm? Eye spy anyone :D (sorry Dusty). I'd just get doing all the things that I've put off for a while and take my mind of it.

I do think it's stupid that one of these connectors aren't included with the card :o.

I don't blame them to keep the price down though. If your psu has got all the connectors you need, you are just paying for nothing.

I've got two sitting in a drawer here as well..........but I wouldn't send you one for free cause I'm a tight Yorkshireman :p
 
Well after all that mucking around, found out that my brand new Mobo is Goosed. Had to pop to the purple shirt brigade to get a new one today. Bigger bummer than ever, :(
 
Ow :(. Sorry to hear that Dusty. Hope the purple brigade never sold you a lemon of a board ?. I've never seen anything decent in there but saying that I've not been in for a long, long time.
 
Got a nice Gigabyte GA-P35 DS3 for 80 sov's. so im a happy boy. Well happier than having to wait to RMA the Asus Board. So that can go back for a refund. :(
