When i try to open my pc everything turns on the lights come up the fans start spinning and then after like half a second, it shuts down. i close the pc by pressing the power button for 5 secons and try to open again, and after about 10 trys i got it running again. i took out my 2nd gpu and the pc worked fine, i put it back on and it was ok for another 2 weeks, now it started to do the same thing again and i am worried it might be something to do with my psu or my 2nd gpu... any help? i bought these from ocuk about 3 months ago...

the psu is 1000HX Corsair
the gpu is Sapphire 4890 vapor-x

im so worried because i live abroad aswell and i dont know when i can get these items sent out back to the uk if there is anything wrong with them...

Have you tried all the connections? make sure they are all secure.. Possible motherboard problem try taking everything off thats not needed ie fans, other hdds e.t.c, Try psu from another system if you can and try your psu in another system. Are all the fans on graphics free from dust e.t.c, If you can check the temps and see what they are as this maybe causing it to shutdown because of the heat.
Try as many things of those as you can and post back what your results are

it doesnt shut down while in operation, it shuts down when i try to turn it on :S and everything is pretty much dust free, last time this happened to me all i had to do was remove the 2nd card and reinsert it back in and everything was ok for 2 weeks :s

Try a different PSU, pc turning off is often PSU imminent death. Removing the 2nd GPU could have reduced the power draw meaning it lasted a little longer

the thing is, it works after a few times of turning on and off... can that still mean the psu is dead? and before all this problem it was ok for about 1 month... and if i do RMA what do u guys reccommend ocuk or directly corsair?

Borrow a friends PSU rather than RMA straight away

I had a pc that had issues re turning on and off when trying to startup

Also take the Both GPU's out and put the 2nd one in the 1st GPU slot to rule out the 2nd card being manky

Fault find first to make sure its your PSU

Strip the rig to bare minimum equipment

Eg Gpu, Mobo, 1 stick of ram, CPU, PSu, HD
Trying 1 stick of ram at a time elimates ram
Trying 1 gpu at a time in the primary PCi-e x 16 slot eliminates GPU
Borrow a friends PSU and try that see if your problem vanishes, if so its the PSU, if not its something else.
