OK, it took me a few hours longer than I hoped but I have connected all my PC Parts.

ASUS M%A998X EVO
AMD Phenom II X6 1100T Black Edition
Radeon HD 6970
30GB OCZ Vertex
1TB Seagate HDD ( yes I know should have got spinpoint )
650W PSU
Zalmon Z9 Plus tower case.
Basic DVD RW Optical drive.

I think I have everything connected correctly, however I get to the windows loading screen, then on my asus monitor it says no HDMI connected and i'm going through boot loops. Have I not connected something right? Is it my operating system? please help.

Have you connected an 8 pin and a 6 pin PCI-E power cable to the graphics card?

Have you connected the 24 pin and 8 pin power cables to the motherboard?

While you're at it what's the make and model of the PSU?

FYI there's nothing wrong with Seagate.

Antec Truepower 650W Bronze plus energy saving.

24 pin and 8 pin power connected to motherboard

I connected: 1 8 pin ( 1 6 pin and 2 pin extention ) and 1 6 pin to the graphics card.

RAM was 1600MhZ advertised on OCZ, but on the bios it only read 1066 MhZ ?

Further notes:

Running mem test diagnostics now awaiting results currently 19% complete
the 2 pin connection may have been out just a bit and have pushed that in further ( I guess this may be the culprit? )

Just try 1 stick at a time.

*** STOP: 0x0000007B (0xFFFFF880009A9928, 0xFFFFFFFFC0000034, 0x000000000000000, 0x0000000000000000 )

thats the error message I get. Fans etc go on maximum over drive. GPU reseated ( however I don't get that "clicking sound with that so don't know if it properly is ( however I push it down enough for the latch to go up. ).
