Basically, me and my housemate just bought this new FS605v3 Fast Ethernet switch, which we are both plugged into, as well as the cable modem. For some reason, only one of us is getting the use of the internet connection, whereas the other, is getting the message (limited to no connectivity). When we tried the whole network first, I got the internet connection and he got the limited to no connectivity, now it is the other way around.

Also, when I looked at the error message for the 'limited to no connectivity', it mentioned that the DHCP cannot assign an IP address properly. I tried to find some firmware but it would appear that there isn't any for the 'plug and play' type devices.

Any help/suggestions, would be greatly appreciated :)

Yeah, well we've realised the error of our ways now so! The diagram on the back appeared to say that you could plug your cable modem into it, however, I think the excitement of getting an internet connection back again (we've got about 2 months without), clouded our judgement and ability to read, hehe! It said you could plug your modem into a router, then into the switch. But yeah, I guess we get the stupid award for today :)

Thanks for the advice though, cheers guys!
