Basically dvix updated today and with it decided to install a couple of bits of software, I didn't want. Quick google revealed that these are problomatic and never really get rid of them. I decided to do a system restore.
Restore worked fine but now when ever windows logs in it last about 20seconds before restarting and going to bluescreen of death.

I think the restore may have knocked about my raid5 as on the start up screens it's asking to verify the raid.

Any-help appreciated?

Sorry,
Urgently verify the raid.

Was it hardware based raid?
You said the restore worked fine, yet the computer was broken afterwards?
I think it may not have worked fine.
Are you OCed?
Did any bios settings change?
Had you ever windows installed on that raid disk?
Could startup selection have been altered?

Undoing system restore seems to currently be stable, although it's only a couple of mins in. It's longer than the 5seconds after log in.
Weirdly this time it says it was unsuccesful. Giving me the error of:
An unspecified error occurred during System Restore. (0x0000056)

I now have that stupid software back though! =[

I wonder if there's a linux distro/linux software that would allow for windows programs to be uninstalled from within a live cd?
