URGENT: Java Installation Win2k3

Hi all,

I need to install Java version 1.5 + SDK and runtime on a Windows 2003 Server machine.

The problem is every time I run the installer for the runtime it starts up and then the application disappears both visually and from task manager. Its doing my head in - any ideas?

For the record, version 1.3 installed just fine.

sounds like it's having problems opening the installer and preparing the files for installation. Have you tried clearing out temporary file folders in your c:\windows or c:\documents and settings\yourprofile\local settings\temp ?

heck I'd run CCleaner, clear it out then reboot and try again.

Don't run the installer from the web site. Down load the client manually and do a local install.
