My friend just bought a new case for his pc, moved the parts over and now it is continuously rebooting.

"It boots, says defaults loaded, press f1 to continue or del to go to bios, and then continuously restarts no matter which i press"

Any ideas?

Thanks.

Motherboard is an abit in9 x32 max. And it's giving 'error code 18' on the display on the motherboard.

Only few things I can suggest is check all power connections and all components are secure.
Double check case leads for power button and reset switch, and possibly try removing all components bar the basics.

ic an suggest exactly wath RJC said but with a few more extras :P
check you/he added the metal risers between the case and the mobo
check you plugged the 4pin CPU power as some people foget this

Rowan :)

try and built a skeleton build:
boot with 1 ram stick no HDD or CD plugged in
take mobo out of case and build ontop of cardboard box or wood flooring
if a GFX card have that in.
so just have gfx psu mobo 1 stick of ram and obv monitor connected

if this works then you can start adding components and see what the problem is if not it could be the psu maybe not supplying enough power to the machine
