Urgent problem! Windows backup and reformat advice

Urgent problem!

Okey, some of you might of seen my last post.

Got a major problem with my computer, windows corrupt etc, ive now overcome the corupt problem but back to the the other problem.

Windows loads normally till afterhte loading section with the blue scrolling bar. When the bars gone the screen goes blank.

Ive managed to connect it to the tv and get a very shaky black and whtie image which you can barely not see a thing or make out anything.

Anyone, im going to have to format as I cant fix it. But, i need some data.

Im on a network with the computer however the computer has a firewall which stops me from accesing it and I dont know how to get round it so I can access data on my comp to transfer it onto here.

Its really urgent as I have work on there that i need asap.

Any help of how to fix of the problem, or, how to get the data off my comp onto here via network (or any other way) would be great.

Just to say aswell, comps plugged into a netgear wireless router, laptop connects to the same router wirelessly.

Finally, if anyone was going to suggest hacking my own network, please contact via email (trust) as this would be breaking forum rules (if im breaking rules saying that my self, please let me know).

Have you tried all the obvious stuff like booting into safe mode and using system restore?

If so, can you take the HD out and put it in another machine? It would then be a straight forward job of copying the data onto a cd/dvd before you format the drive. Alternatively, I think you can reinstall windows without formatting.
 
Ive tryed most of that, however, how do you boot into safe mode. I forgot about doing that.

About putting HD into a sep comp, took it round shop round the road they tried it and it wouldnt transfer cause of the main problem causing some of these problems (corrupt windows).

F8 on start up to get into safe mode. If windows is corrupt you should still be able to get you data off the drive in a second pc though. You just need to set it up as a slave (2nd hard drive) so you don't need to boot from it.
 
Is there anyway I can make the network work when in safe mode, it doesnt work when in safe mode for some reason. Ethernet doesnt seem to be doing anything.

Help please.
