Urgent! Received new monitor and broken!

Hi guys bit of a panic and need some advice!

I purchased the Dell S2716G from ocuk. I have only had it 5 days and i got round to opening it today as iv had a few exams this week

Upon opening the box and switching on the monitor I am seeing gigantic colorful lines all over the screen as if the screen has been damaged.

I am wondering if the damage was caused in transit?

Question is what do i do and what is the outcome of my situation as i am in desperate need for a working monitor!

Try posting in the customer services thread or ringing them in the morning.

Put in a webnote or post in the customer service part of the forum https://forums.overclockers.co.uk/forumdisplay.php?f=72

Make sure the cable is in properly and/or try another one if you can.

EDIT: This is with it connected to a PC? my Dell does some coloured test pattern thing then goes into power saving mode on first turn on if there is no source - though it has an OSD notification showing as well.

I have made sure everything plugged in and tried my brothers cables too!

I was wondering if i have anyhting to worry about and if ocuk will be able to send me a new one asap as im still in my 14 days and its my first time opening it!

It won't be a problem buddy, just let them know in the morning and I'm sure they'll arrange a swap

DoAs happen, retailers deal with them ^^
