Urgent remote pc help

My father in law is very very ill and can no longer access his business pc in the loft office.
What is the best and easiest remote software i could use so he could access his work pc from a laptop in his bedroom?
Is the remote xp software any good and is it easy to set up?????

Assuming that the business computer is running XP Pro, then the built in remote desktop would be the best solution.

Had internet access been a requirement for remote access, then Logmein would have been the easiest to set up.
