I have an old pc

AMD 3700
MSI mobo
1GB ram
160HDD
optical

on a 320W

It been working flawlessly for over 4-5 years but last year been using 600W OCZ but that is now in my new system. Put the old 320 W psu in 2 days ago makes i slight squeal when powercable is in and turned on but it started fine and working. This morning i took all my cables out from new pc (VGA, keybord (not usb), mouse speakers and internet. Powered it on, the processor fan spins, psu fan spins, cd drive light is on (not flashing solid green) but there is no signal to the screen and front case led light are not on and when i press front power button and restart nothing happens? any ideas? Thinking it could be Powersupply?

Something like this happend before and i just waited for 30mins tried again and it worked.

Thanks

Nope how do i reset the bios?

Cant try with other psu now ive installed it all and got cable tidying all sorted.

The speaker inside case has never been plugged i since i got it. There a think 8pin connecter saying Speaker.

Ill have a serach to see if i can find where it goes. It be a nightmare if it doesnt work as i am selling it to my family and that money is needed to fund my New build.

How do you reset bios? If i do i want loose any of my data etc?

I hope that your componets are safe! however a Blown PSU can cause other system parts to go! first thing to do don't touch it! remove the PSU! continually turning it on with a damaged PSU might allow the fans to spin but is damaging the parts! hopefully however if the PSU is good (not to sure about OCZ power supplys) it should have stoped any more surges to go to componets! fingers crossed!

Wasnt an ocz one was one that about 5years old now took it out there was about cm of dust over it. Yea hopefully nothing has, more HDD is biggest concern. We will see soon? Can i test it using an old dell PSU
