I'm looking for a quote about the famous example of the US Army spending millions on AI Tank recognition software. They trained the software by giving it example images with tanks in them and some without.

In the end the software was only able to tell the difference between day and evening because all the images with tanks in them were in the evening and all the images without tanks in them were in the day (Something like that).

I can't seem to be able to successfully google something.

Thanks for any help.

always made me laugh when they went in to space

the americans spent millions on developing a pen that rights in zero g, the russians used a pencil:p

Thats not actualy true, its just a big myth thats been "floating" around for years.

They are not allowed to use pencils due to the fact it contains carbon / graphite which is a conductor and could cause problems if tiny peices come off the pencil and float freely around.

They just use normal ballpoint pen's which do the trick so im to understand.
