US based VPS?

Hi guys,

I am looking into getting a VPS that is based in the US. These are the things I am looking to use it for:

• Proxy/VPN
• Occasional web hosting
• Backups with client side encryption
• File server

One that I have found is: https://backupsy.com/index.php. It is more targeted at backups and to be honest this is one of the main things I would like to use it for. Anyone have any other suggestions?

Not sure about the backup but what about https://www.digitalocean.com/

No experience with them, but Digital Ocean seems to be getting a lot of press lately.
