US Gameboy colour-advice needed-pls help

Hi,
Saw a US GAmeboy colour on ebay. It's a UK sellar selling it,will it work ok in the UK and will UK games work on the Gameboy?

I really fancy buying one

Yes, I used to buy new imported US versions of Gameboy Color games from the local independent shop. Think Pokemon Gold/Silver. They worked no problem on my UK Gameboy.
