Well, the IPhone 4 had been launched and, with no prices yet revealed, its likely to be ridiculously expensive, however, in the US it'll only be $300.
What with the new sim card slot does this mean the phone could work in the uk? buy it, ship it over, put in a uk sim?

The $300 for the iphone 4 in the USA is less than the 8Gb origional Iphone is here! This is insanely unfair!

i think you'll find the $300 price is the price with contract.

Not the pay as you go version.

*edit* here we go.

16GB 3GS for $149 is with a two year plan. The $299 iphone 4 will no doubt also be with a 24 month plan.

And here we go

How much will the 16GB and 32GB models of the new iPhone 4 cost without a subsidy and contract? Is that option available?
Siegel: Yes, the phones are available without a contract and without a subsidy. The 16GB iPhone will cost $599 and the 32GB iPhone is $699.

so 16gb iphone 4 is abou £420 over there. Roughly the same as here. No cheaper at all.

Aye, you have to buy them here with a 2 year contract to AT&T. Also, the phones you buy from the Apple Retail stores are locked to AT&T anyways.

Pain.
