The US Open kicks off today and Kyle Edmund is currently beating the 13th seed Richard Gasquet 6-2, 6-2.

Djokovic starts the tournament as the favourite in the men's draw and Serena in the women's.

Hoping for another good tournament for Murray although he's had so little time off over the last few months I wouldn't be surprised to see an early exit :(

Edit: Edmund wins 6-2, 6-2, 6-3

Edmund through in straight sets again. This time 7-5, 6-4, 6-4 against Ernesto Escobedo. He'll now play Isner or Steve Darcis.

Djokovic had a walkover after his opponent pulled out through injury. That'll no doubt help Djokovic if the stories about his wrist are true.

Didn't realise Del Potro dispatched Ferrer so easily, really fancy him to make the final which of course would mean beating Murray which I think he can do this time.

Not sure if it'll be against Djokovic or Nadal though. Nadal's looking like he's getting back to his best but Djokovic hasn't had much game time so there are big question marks he'll need to answer tonight.

Edit: Konta out in 2 sets. Her serve needs to improve massively or she'll never amount to anything sadly.

Good start for Murray, 6-1 in 35 minutes but Nishikori had a lot of break points he couldn't convert so the match is a lot closer than the first set scoreline suggests.

Edit: Second set Nishikori 6-4.

Edit: Third set Murray 6-4. Really tough match for both players with plenty of breaks. Murray's serve has dropped off massively since the last round.

Edit: Murray's head has gone again, currently 5-1 in the 4th and not fun to watch. Murray is Nishikori's bitch at the moment.

Edit: 6-1 and 2 sets all. Had a meltdown at 1-1 and barely won a point for the rest of the set. Honestly needs a psychiatrist rather than a coach.

Simple let call at 1-1 and he's acted like a teenager ever since. It's truly embarrassing watching him self implode at times and it'll be the reason he only ends up with 3 or 4 slam wins rather than 10 or more. I actually want to punch him through my TV I'm so angry.

I'm backing Del Potro to win the tournament now and I would love to see him do it.

Edit: And there goes that plan, he lost 3-1 last night. Literally, **** this tournament! :(
