So I've been looking at the Razer Blackwidow Ultimate 2013 (mmm green LEDs and blue cherry switches)

Only issue is, that if I buy from OcUK (before someones says it, I only like buying from OcUK so buying from elsewhere for UK version isn't really something I want to do) then I have to get it with a US style layout.

I have ALWAYS used a UK style keyboard (ISO I think it is?) so I was wondering if anyone has made a switch between the 2 and if it is hard getting used to the slightly different layout?

Cheers

I'm not sure how Razer do their UK layout now, the older version did use the ISO layout, whereas the new one might just be a modified US layout - swapped $ and £?

My desktop keyboard uses the US' ANSI layout, and for gaming, it's a huge improvement. My only annoyance is the lack of the £ sign, which can be found after a quick search or use of the number pad (if you have one, which the Blackwidow does!). But the larger left shift really is very nice. :)

I have used both (Lots of custom keycap sets only come in ANSI so for a while I had one) I just couldnt get used to it, the difference between ANSI and ISO was too much for me. Changing the position of @#\| between work and home, as a programmer, I found particularly jarring. However for gaming it never really mattered for me. Gaming all you really use is QWERASDF Shift Ctrl Tab and numbers, which are all in the same position. I have met some people who like to use the |\ key on ISO as PTT for VoIP which I can see as being useful but for the most part youll never notice if all you do is game.
