I have a USB skype phone which is giving me a few problems. Whenever i plug it in windows tells me that the device can go faster if i plug it into a USB 2 complaint slot. The problem is i've tried it in all my usb slots and it always says the same thing.

I'm using a shuttle SN95G5, is there any chance i've plugged something into the wrong place or do i have to install special usb 2 drivers? the system spec says USB 2.0 on it so i don't understand what the problem is.

I'm getting pretty bad quality connections via skype and i think this may be the main problem.

Although you have SP2, have you manually update your USB drivers in Device manager to use the new usbhub20.sys driver ??? it does not install it automatically, you have to do it yourself.

is that located on the XP disk then? i thought that might be the case but i assumed that letting windows find the best driver would be ok.
