Hey guys,

Just been wondering, is it OK to run mice, RGB keyboards, headsets etc through either 2.0 or 3.0 USB?

Or does it not matter for peripherals and power etc..

Just to know, so that I can rearrange my USB config on the I/O of the motherboard.

Cheers.

Unless the keyboard or mouse is specifically marketed as USB3.0, then there is zero benefit (as it will essentially use the usb2.0 part of a usb3.0 port).

Save USB3.0 ports for flash drives or other storage, and things like phone chargers that can make use of the higher power delivery standards etc.

Yeh what they said.
USB 3 is good for high speed file transfers.. But peripherals like mice and keyboards and other stuff, lower spec USB has more than enough bandwidth for it not to matter.
