Are the ports ON in the BIOS?

Have you got the drivers installed for the USB3 ports, theres two different control chips on the board, so theres two drivers for it.

Got them turned on in BIOS, i'll take a look at that link now :)

does anything else worked when plugged into that port?

I only have one USB 3.0 device so can't test it with anything else!

EDIT :

Downloaded the drivers, got it working.

For USB 3.0 is 12MB/Sec a good transfer speed? I was expecting faster!

it depends on the size of the file. do some tests with different sizes and see how you get on. or plug a USB 2.0 drive in and copy the same file, see what speed that goes. but on the whole, big files go quicker, lots of smaller files not so much difference. well thats what i found anyways.

yeh, usb 3 isnt all its made out to be on everything. it varies from filesize to filesize. do a few tests see how you get on. failing that do a crystal mark test and see how that rates.
